Calling All Superheroes!
Pre-K teacher, Linda Click, perfectly explained the goal of our most recent fundraiser, “In an effort to honor the amazing, brave superhero kids who need care at the hospital and to celebrate the amazing braze superhero doctors and nurses who provide wonderful care for so many children.”
On Friday, October 25 JHB held a fundraiser for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Maine Medical Center Barbara Bush Wing in Portland. Staff and students donned their favorite Superhero t-shirt and donated any monetary amount to this fundraiser. Superman, Batman, and Wonderwoman were seen patrolling the halls of JHB! Our weekly “Rise and Shine” assembly focused on the concept of heroes and what attributes make someone a hero. Additionally, our “Lunch and Listen” book was a Captain Marvel title, “What Makes A Hero.” James H. Bean, alone, raised $448.00 for this worthy cause. We look forward to holding this annual fundraiser in the years to come!
