Lunch and Listen

Lunchtime at JHB can be a lively and, at times, loud time of day as students busily chat and laugh at each other’s antics. In an effort to provide a quieter, calmer atmosphere, every Friday, students have the opportunity to eat their lunches in the library during our weekly “Lunch and Listen.” During this time, students eat while listening to a book read by Mrs. St. Peter. So far, students clamber at the opportunity to attend “Lunch and Listen.” Fourth-grader, Ajah Cole, enjoys “Lunch and Listen” as she feels that “it is peaceful and it calms me down.” Fifth-grader, Matthew Reardon, states “I enjoy listening to a story when eating my lunch.” Two of the most recent titles have been, The Jelly Donut Difference and What Makes A Hero.
