Fifth Grade Celebration of Learning
James H. Bean fifth graders in Mrs. Hopper and Mrs. Kanhai-Singh’s classes have spent the past few weeks doing research about influential people for an informational writing unit. Students then used Book Creator or Google Slides to author their own informational books and prepared short speeches to perform for their Living Wax Museum visitors! Learners from kindergarten through fourth grade, as well as parents and staff members, were wowed and amazed as the fifth graders brought close to three dozen historical figures to life!
In addition Mrs. Roberts, James H. Bean’s art teacher, proudly displayed the students’ paper lanterns, ceramic tiles and vessels, and other artwork created this year! It was a wonderful celebration of learning for the fifth grade students as they prepare to move on to Messalonskee Middle School next year! #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
