Honoring Our Heroes: Second Graders Learn About Veterans Day
The second graders at James H. Bean School spent the week learning all about Veterans Day and why it is an important national holiday.
Students explored the six branches of the United States Armed Forces through engaging reading passages and books, and they wrote heartfelt thank-you cards to be delivered to local Veterans in Sidney, Maine.
To wrap up their week of learning, the class welcomed a very special mystery reader—First Sergeant Bibeau! He shared a story, answered students’ questions, and gave them a firsthand look at what it means to serve. It was a fun, meaningful, and memorable experience for all! #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
