Meet James H. Bean School’s Principal, Erica St. Peter!
What was your greatest memory from last school year?
My greatest memory from last school year was having Jim “Basketball” Jones visit JHB to perform for all of the students. His enthusiasm and energy was contagious. Students and staff were so engaged, especially during the dance contest!
What are you most looking forward to about this upcoming school year?
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of all our JHB students! Additionally, I am excited to have a full-time Dean of Students to collaborate with this year.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
A fun fact about myself is that I am married to my junior high and high school sweetheart!
If you weren’t an administrator, what other profession would you be interested in?
If I weren’t an administrator, I would still be a first grade teacher. I absolutely loved teaching early elementary school. The genuine excitement and appreciation the students came through my classroom door with made all of the hard work worthwhile.
What is one of the proudest moments you’ve had so far in your life?
I am an incredibly proud mother of two children. My daughter is a social studies teacher and my son serves in the United States Army. My heart bursts with pride when I think about both of their accomplishments!
