Penguin Day
James H. Bean School first graders recently had a blast participating in their Penguin Day! They started their day with a penguin math craft and later completed a directed drawing to go along with their book of the week, “Penguin in Peril!” In the afternoon, students completed multiple penguin-related centers and activities. First graders sorted noun and verb fish, built penguin homes out of marshmallows and toothpicks, worked on finding the missing numbers on a penguin part-part-whole challenge, and they even created their own pet penguins! #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
