Reading Through the Woods

During the week of NWEA testing, the fourth grade team and Mr. Gordon’s 4th/5th grade group decided to conduct reading class outside on the nature trails behind the playground. Thanks to the maintenance department, twelve kiosks were built and placed along almost a mile of trails that weave through the woods. Each kiosk had a different reading activity card placed on it, and the students completed the tasks while they enjoyed a walk in nature. Teachers want to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Brennan and Ms. Brown for giving up their time to help with supervision on the trail so that the children could have an enjoyable experience. It certainly made a long week of testing much more tolerable for the students. #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
