Author Celebration
After bringing an informational piece of writing through the writing process, second graders at the James H. Bean School proudly read their writing pieces to their classmates at the “Published Authors” celebration! Tables were covered with tablecloths, streamers hung from the doorway, and students wore brightly colored headpieces as they celebrated their hard work. Students were required to brainstorm topics that they were “experts” on, complete a pre-writing activity to organize their thoughts, compose a rough draft, revise, edit, and create a final copy. While listening to pieces read aloud, classmates enjoyed a sweet treat and drink. #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
