Meet Cassidy Clement, Dean of Students at the James H. Bean School

Meet Cassidy Clement, Dean of Students at the James H. Bean School!

Personal Background and Motivation
Clement has wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember. Along her educational journey, a few exceptional teachers made things “click” for her and left a lasting impact. Their influence inspired Ms. Clement to do the same for future students. That path eventually led her to her current role as Dean of Students, where she feels fortunate to work with the entire school community at JHB.

Leadership Style and Vision
For Clement, the most rewarding part of working in education is building relationships with students and staff. She values getting to know everyone personally and strives to be someone both students and teachers can count on.

Community Engagement
Clement believes that schools, families, and the community all share the responsibility of supporting student success. She is especially grateful for the strong support JHB receives from families and the community, recognizing the positive difference it makes in creating a connected and thriving school environment.

Education and Innovation
In Ms. Clement’s view, academic excellence and social-emotional learning go hand in hand. She believes that students who feel safe and supported are more prepared to take on academic challenges. She sees JHB teachers doing an outstanding job balancing both, ensuring that students grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Personal Insights
Clement’s message for students and families is full of excitement and warmth: “We miss you! The halls of the school are quiet and dull without you filling them with smiles, chatter, and laughter. I hope you’re all just as excited as I am for another year together at JHB—the place to be!”
