Owl Pellet Discoveries
Kindergarten students at James H. Bean School had an unforgettable hands-on science experience as they dissected owl pellets. The classroom buzzed with excitement as children uncovered tiny skulls, teeth, and bones, calling out discoveries like, “Look at this!” and “Whoa, I found a bone!” The activity sparked curiosity and wonder as students explored the hidden world inside each pellet.
Kindergartners also enjoyed a visit from Chewonki’s Owls of Maine program, where they learned about owl characteristics and met a live owl up close. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Brennan, whose thoughtful use of fundraising funds made these rich learning opportunities possible for students. #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
